We have put a new review in our media section under press. Guitarist reviewed our AA Standard and gave it their Guitarist Choice award.

We would like to congratulate Atkin Players Jim Moray and Kris Drever on their success at the Radio Two Folk Awards. Jim won the Best Contemporary Song and Kris's band Lau won Best Band. Also congratulations to Chris Wood for his handful of awards. Chris doesn't play an Atkin Guitar yet, but on his frequent visits to the workshop we always try (I'll get you one day Chris).

We have put two new reviews in our media section under press. Our O Standard Sunburst was reviewed in Guitar Buyer, December issue. It was one of our best reviews ever.
Guitar Buyer also came to the workshop to write an article about having a custom guitar made, which was in the January issue.

Last week we had a meeting with Graham Coxon from Blur ahead of their 2009 reunion. We ate some excellent fruit cake and Graham ordered an OM Standard Sunburst.
Blur are playing two shows in Hyde Park this summer and Graham is just about to release a new solo album.

We recently finished a guitar for Ronan Keating and delivered it to him backstage at the O2 arena. Ronan had seen Greg Bone and Calum McColl's guitars at the Boyzone rehearsals. Ronan went for an O Standard. Check out Ronan's Website here.

Chris Difford and Boo Hewerdine will be playing a live set on the Unplugged Stage at 1:30pm on Sunday 15th of June. Check out the LIMS website.

Guitar Buyer Magazine and Atkin Guitars have got together to run a competition. We are giving away Chris Difford's Small Jumbo Deluxe which was used on Squeeze's tour of the USA in 2007. Richard invited us up to his concert at the Albert Hall, it was the first outing of his custom "Hawley" Jumbo Deluxe. What a brilliant concert, special guests included Jarvis Cocker, Tony Christie and even Richard's mum.
